Cancellation & Refunds
Last updated: 20 August 2026
Azwaj never auto-renews. Every purchase is a one-time payment. Your Premium simply ends on its expiry date, and you are never charged automatically. There is no subscription to cancel and no cancellation charge is levied.
1. Where you bought it decides who refunds it
Azwaj is sold on two separate rails, and this matters when you want your money back:
| Bought | Processed by | Refunded by |
|---|---|---|
| Inside the Android app | Google Play | Google Play |
| On azwaj.io / app.azwaj.io | Razorpay | Azwaj (us) |
Google is the seller for purchases made inside the Android app. Those refunds must be requested through Google Play. Azwaj cannot refund them, however much we would like to help. Purchases made on our website are processed by Razorpay and refunded by us, under the rules below.
2. Premium: 48 hours
- You may request a full refund within 48 hours of the payment, for any reason. No explanation is required.
- After 48 hours a Premium purchase is not refundable. If something has genuinely gone wrong, write to us anyway. We read every message and can make an exception at our discretion.
- When a refund is issued, the Premium days it paid for are removed from your account.
3. Sparkles are not refundable
A Sparkle is delivered the moment you send it: it puts your request in front of someone, and that cannot be taken back. Sparkle packs are therefore non-refundable, including sparkles you have not used yet. Please buy the small pack first if you are unsure.
4. Rishta Card: 48 hours, and the card comes down with the money
- A Rishta Card can be refunded in full within 48 hours of the payment, for any reason, GST included.
- A refund unpublishes the card. The link and the printed QR stop working, because money back and a live card at the same time is not a refund.
- After 48 hours the 3 month term is not refundable. You can switch the card off at any time, which stops the link immediately, but that does not refund or extend the term.
- If a card expires you have 30 days to renew and get the same link and QR back. After that the card, its photos and its list of interested families are deleted, and a renewal would be a new card with a new link.
- Deleting your Azwaj account also deletes your cards, and the time left on them is not refunded.
If you are buying from the UK or the European Union. Consumer law there gives you 14 days to cancel a distance contract, counting from the day you paid, and you do not have to give a reason. That right is yours by law, not something we grant, and it applies instead of the 48 hours above. We honour it.
Because a Rishta Card goes live within seconds, you are asked at checkout to confirm that you want it published straight away. If you then cancel inside the 14 days, we keep a proportionate amount for the days the card was actually live and refund the rest. On a 3 month card that is roughly 21 rupees a day at 1,899, or roughly 13 rupees a day at 1,178.82. Cancel on day one and you get essentially all of it back.
Your statutory rights are not affected by anything else on this page.
5. How to cancel a Rishta Card
Any of these works, and all of them count as telling us in time. What matters is that you send it before the period ends, not that we have replied by then.
- Press Withdraw from contract here in your dashboard at azwaj.io/rishta-card/dashboard. This is the fastest way and it records the date for you.
- Email support@azwaj.io with the card link or the last four digits of the number you paid with.
- WhatsApp +91 80950 30100.
- Or fill in the form below and send it to us by either of those. You do not have to use this form: any clear statement that you are cancelling is enough.
Model cancellation form
To: Azwaj (Baig Associates), support@azwaj.io I hereby give notice that I cancel my contract for the Azwaj Rishta Card. Ordered on: ____________________ Card link (azwaj.io/c/): ____________________ Name: ____________________ Address: ____________________ Phone number used: ____________________ Date: ____________________
When we receive it we take the card down the same day and send the money back to the way you paid. Your bank may take a few working days to show it on your statement, which is outside our hands.
6. How to ask about anything else
Email support@azwaj.io from the phone number or email on your account, or message us on WhatsApp at +91 80950 30100. Tell us the amount and roughly when you paid, and we will find it.
- We acknowledge every complaint within 48 hours with a ticket number, and resolve it within one month.
- Approved refunds are sent back to the original payment method within 5 to 7 working days. How quickly it appears after that is up to your bank.
7. Failed and duplicate payments
If money left your account but Premium did not appear, do nothing. Our system checks with Razorpay and settles it automatically, usually within the hour. If it still has not appeared after that, contact us and we will fix it or refund it in full. The same applies to an accidental duplicate payment: we refund duplicates in full, whenever they are reported.

9. Prices and GST
All prices are in Indian Rupees (INR). For a purchase made with an Indian mobile number, GST at 18% is added to the listed price and shown to you in full before you pay. For example, ₹599 becomes ₹706.82. You receive a tax invoice for every payment.
Buying from outside India: a purchase made with a mobile number outside India is a zero rated export under our Letter of Undertaking, so no GST is added and the price shown is the price charged. The Rishta Card is ₹1,899 flat on a number outside India, against ₹999 plus GST on an Indian one. Your card is charged in Indian rupees, and your own bank may add a foreign transaction fee that we neither set nor receive.
When we refund a payment, the GST charged on it is refunded too: you get back the full amount that left your account, or the same proportion of it for a partial refund. See Pricing for the current figures.
